JUDITH VIRAG
Judith Virag, founder of Clean Club Calgary and Certified House Cleaning Technician, is committed to building trust and improving the quality of life for her clients. Born in Hungary, Judith, alongside her parents, immigrated to Canada at the age of 18. With entrepreneurship in her blood – both her parents and grandparents were entrepreneurs – Judith knew the traditional career route wasn’t for her. After 15 years as an Executive Assistant for corporations such as Citibank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the Calgary Flames, she took her love of accountability and combined it with her love of physical work to begin her first cleaning business. Gathering experience, learning from challenges, and obtaining (and continually maintaining) her IICRC House Cleaning Technician certification, Judith ensures clients feel their quality of life is Clean Club’s priority. Since starting her cleaning career nearly a decade ago, she has grown (and kept) her three initial clients into a full-scale residential and commercial cleaning business that’s changing how Calgarians invest in cleaning.

We are so proud to announce Judith, CCC’s founder, has won the Universal Womens Network “Women of Inspiration” award for Customer Experience.
This award recognizes the achievements of women who are making an impact in the community and around the globe. On November 19, women across the country were acknowledged in a diverse range of industries, and Judith gracefully accepted the award on behalf of the entire CCC team. “To build a company truly focused on customer experience, I believe honesty is most important," says Judith. “I have been working with people all my life and this award is validation that what I am doing is right. Without my incredible team and amazing customers, I would not have this company.”
A humbling experience, Judith feels honoured to be amongst the female nominees. “I always knew how strong and resourceful women are - but now it is much more evident,” she says. “We set our mind to a goal, and we go until we achieve it.”

Definitely camping - roasting marshmallows, crackling fire & wandering the woods!
What three items would you take with you on a deserted island?
A multi-pocket tool, a very large towel... to dry and utilize for thread & other things… & instant coffee!
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Any type of PASTA dish... to be honest it'll probably be mushroom ravioli.
What motivates you to work hard?
My goals! The things I want to do in my life and the people I want to help is why I am motivated to work hard. My purpose.

KSENIIA: What is your biggest accomplishment?
After completing web design courses, I created beautiful business cards for my dentist and my friend in the beauty industry. I really like to create beauty and ideality in everything.
KSENIIA:What do you enjoy most about cleaning?
Before and after. The result after the work done, and the reaction of customers when they enter their clean home.
NATALIIA: What song would you want played as you enter a room?
It all depends on my mood - it can be different from classical to rock.
NATALIIA: What is your favourite thing to clean?
I love cleaning bathrooms to make them shine!!

That I can relax my mind and be productive at the same time.

What's the most exciting travel destination you've been to, and what made it memorable?
My trip with my husband to the Carpathian Mountains in 2021 - it was the happiest time of my life… amazing views, healthy air and the impressive emotions!

Use a mix of lemon oil (1 part) and white vinegar (1 part) to keep wood furniture looking shiny.

Always strive for continuous improvement and growth in all aspects of life.
What's your favorite cleaning hack or tip that you swear by?
Using a mixture of vinegar and water to clean glass surfaces like windows and mirrors for a streak-free shine.

Serene, adventurous, rejuvenating.
What’s your favourite room to clean?
The kitchen! It’s satisfying to see everything sparkling clean and organized, plus a clean kitchen promotes healthy cooking and eating habits.

What's the best advice you've ever received, and who gave it to you?
When you receive a chance in your life, you better take it. This way you will never have regrets. My mom gave this advice, and it worked very well.
What's your favourite cleaning hack that saves time and effort?
Set yourself a reward for completion, so you will be doing it faster.
Do you have a specific routine or order you follow when cleaning a room?
First, I will kindly ask my cat to go somewhere else and then start the cleaning.
What's your favourite way to relax and unwind after a busy day?
Pay some strategies on the computer or take a walk in the park.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job as a cleaner?
The satisfaction of a clean home!
Which room is your favourite to clean and why?
The kitchen is my favorite because my family and I always spent a lot of time in the kitchen during harvesting season. We always ended up making an enormous mess of the kitchen and cleaning up was always fun.
What’s a memorable trip you’ve taken?
My most memorable trip was when my grandpa flew me over Mount St. Helens in a small plane. The view was magnificent and unforgettable.

At home, I clean everything with Vim cream; at work, I like Bar Keepers Friend!
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
I like to cook and bake cakes.
How do you stay motivated during a long cleaning day?
Satisfaction of customers, a great job done, good feedback/reviews and tips.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would go to the sea, where there is sand, sun and palm trees. I love the water, I love warm weather, and seafood - Probably Spain!

Can you share a cleaning tip that you find particularly useful?
To make cleaning more fun, I always clean with my favourite music.
What’s your favorite way to relax after a busy week?
Do nothing! I always clean my own house on Thursdays, and do laundry on Fridays. Then, I can spend my weekends with a bottle of good wine, cheese, and snacks!
Do you have any pets? Tell us about them!
My cat is huge, sheds a lot and has a bad character. I don't advise you to have a black kitchen or black glass furniture with a white cat - dust and fur are visible everywhere - but we all love Smokey anyway :)
What’s your favourite type of cleaning task?
When I come back home and my husband has cleaned the house without me.

Teleport so that I can be wherever my heart desires.

Australia.
What’s the most satisfying part of cleaning for you?
Seeing the before/after of the bathroom. 2nd would be vacuuming, when there are uniform traces of the letter M on the carpet :)
